These blades are great for pairing with allied heroes' shots friendly players can deal damage to enemies, and Kiriko can finish them with a critical headshot. This would suggest why Kiriko is so skillful with her blades she was raised around weaponry and has been trained in the fighting arts for a long time. While Kiriko is not directly related to the Shimada boys, lore suggests that her father owns a sword company and her mother was directly responsible for training the Shimada brothers in the art of sword mastery.
